In polarized states of being,
there is a disconnection, rooted in communication
that differentiates what is acted or said to what is thought.
The mind is a prison created by never ending thoughts
that rapidly cycle and consume one’s being.
In failing to clearly communicate all these thoughts,
moods fluctuate from elevated to depressed,
some more rapidly than others.
I have created expressive photo collages
using my own photographs
as well as some appropriated images
seeking to visually represent the mania
and the state of entrapment within one’s own mind.
This is a dissection and exposure of a “haunted self”.
